I'm sure you all must be thinking I've finally become crazy when you read the topic of this month. Enjoy Failure? Yuk? You must be joking! My answer is "NO" I'm not crazy - in fact I'm happy to have "discovered" this fact. Like it or not "bad" things can happen to people (bad or good people). When they happen, these are the 3 ways people would react:-
1. Wish it away 2. Suppress it 3. Enjoy it
When it happens, it's too late to wish it away. If you try to suppress it by whatever means, sooner or later, it will burst. I would prefer the 3rd option "Enjoy it". The reason why people tend to adopt the first two options is because they don't realise what "failure" actually is. If you can understanding it as a normal process of our life's experiences, you will understand why we can actually enjoy it.
Actually, there is no such thing known as "failure". Look at the animal kingdom and you will realize that animals don't "fail". They just go along their normal process of life. We human beings are so 'smart' that we "learned" it With that, we learned to hate it and fear it. But luckily, whatever that is learned can be UNLEARN - Impossible?
STORY
Once a factory of Thomas Edison got burnt. When he found out about it, he called out to his son, "Charles! Come quick, there goes all our mistakes!" To Edison, "Mistake" is an Education. So it's very much how one responds to "bad" things that counts. Take them as your experiences. And when you come to think about it, "life" is a cummulation of "Experiences" be they bad or good. So if one only experience the "good" part and not the "bad" part, don't you think we are only experiencing "half" of life?
Many of you may at this juncture still disagree with me but it doesn't matter. You will perhaps come to look from my point of view during your last day of your life. If God were to ask you, to write your life story - what would it be? Would it be a big volume or just a few sentences like "Every day was the same, nothing much happen, so my life is just that!"
You see, many people fail to "enjoy" the things at the "moment" when they were happening only to look back in later years how wonderful they were - but that moment is already gone! Why not enjoy it now when it is happening. Should you happen to take a wrong road, what's the fuss, why not enjoy the scenery?
Remember, the most important things in life are not "things".
Your fellow traveler in time.
