Opportunity Is No Where

Most people tend to think that people who lived before us have more opportunities. We tend to think that those who go into a project first shall grab the opportunity. Today many are very worried that they may not be able to seize the opportunity that the new economy shall bring. So lots of people just simply rushed into things without assessing the whole situation.

Almost every week I received e-mails offering me internet opportunities of all kind, "Ground floor opportunity" "Window opportunity", I even received a "Guarantee You will Win" a cash prize in a Trans-Canadian Lottery Prize Pool opportunity. Not long ago I receive an offer from a Nigerian source offering millions US$ in exchange for just the use of some of my invoices.

Now here's the message I'm going to share with you all this month:-

There is a proverb which says "The early bird catches the worm"

I fully agree with it from the bird's point of view but what about from the early worm's point of view? The early worm got gobbled up! I'm not being negative or pessimistic! I sincerely want you all to be aware of what is and what is not an opportunity.

Regarding the Nigerian case that I mentioned above, I personally know a Malaysian who lost more that RM100,000.00 to the syndicate. To lose money in a business is one thing but to be swindled of RM100,000.00 and yet shy to let people know is one hell of an agony.

How do you read the title of this article above? Opportunity is NO Where or opportunity is NOW Here? Both contain the same 7 letters but the meaning is totally different depending on which way you look at it.

Actually opportunity is everywhere but you can't see it with just your normal eyes. Opportunity can only be seen by your mind's eye.

In fact opportunity is a "situation". Each time a situation changes, an opportunity arise. Hence when there are more changes, more opportunities appear - but you must be able to "see" it. Do not worry that opportunities will pass you by. Worry that you will not be able to "see" it. It doesn't mean that if you run first you will reach the finishing line first - remember the story of the Rabbit and the Tortoise. It needs more than that. In needs initiative, discipline, determination, effort, strategy, persistence etc, before an "opportunity" will give you its reward. On the other hand, if you have all these qualities, every thing can be an opportunity, be it early or late. Feel free to share this important message to those who need them.
